A jury trial is on the horizon for the Kyle teen charged in the death of Phillip Duran.
But a motion filed in the case of Nathaniel Eddleman Monday will push a court date back.
According to Hays County Criminal District Attorney Wes Mau, the motion was filed as several conflicts came to light. They include the Assistant District Attorney and the defense counsel leaving the country during different periods over the next month.
Mau said a judge ordered for a reset of the trial, but a new court date hasn’t been set.
Eddleman was arrested in May 2014, over year after the auto-pedestrian incident that killed Duran as he was running along FM 1626 in Kyle in April 2013.
Eddleman was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid, which is a third degree felony. He faces up to 10 years in jail and a $10,000 fine if found guilty.
