A man is in stable condition, but suffered serious injuries Friday after he was ejected from his vehicle following a collision with a parked 18-wheeler on Interstate 35 in Kyle. Friday’s wreck, which shut down the southbound part of the interstate for roughly six hours, occurred at around 6:35 p.m. at Kyle Parkway. According to police, a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Chad Little, 40, of Seguin, drifted onto the shoulder and struck part of an 18-wheeler, whose driver had stopped for repairs. The collision ejected Little 50 to 60 feet from his vehicle. A third vehicle, a pickup truck hauling a travel trailer, overturned as it swerved to avoid the collision. The resulting accident forced Kyle emergency and law enforcement officials to shut down all lanes of traffic to investigate and clear the scene. No other injuries were reported.
