Lonnie Carl Buie, age 71, passed away August 13, 2015 at Seton Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, TX.

He was an AISD retiree with over 20 year’s service. A strong man with a “live and let live” philosophy and an unusual sense of humor that entertained all of his many friends and family. He stayed busy over the years with many hobbies, including gardening, fishing, leatherwork, raising bees, riding horses and art.

Lonnie will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Linda Buie; children Tammie Hillard, Melony Boone; grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Roberts, Amanda and Terry Cornelison, Joey Hillard and Lyndsay Boone; great-grandchildren Lucas and Lily Roberts and McKenzie Cornelison.

Visitation was August 18, and graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
