Over 50 students, and one dog, shaved their hair at Lehman High School Monday in observation of Shave-a-Thon – a campaign designed to raise funds for a foundation that helps pay for mammograms for women. This is the third year in a row Lehman has participated. Faculty member Yvette Sutten reports “many ponytails were donated and the kids just keep coming to get shaved!” Sutten adds, “There is a story behind every kid’s shaving – and the kids are awesome!” Above, Tiana Mejia was one of the girls to shave her head, posing with her friend Allison Jimenez.
