Eleanor Higdon, age eight, passed away on Dec. 12, 2015 at Dell Children’s Medical Center following a tragic horse riding accident.
Eleanor was born on Feb. 22, 2007, in San Marcos, Texas, to parents Sarah and Aaron Higdon.
Eleanor’s passing reminds us that her life is one to celebrate. Although we will miss her every day, she will remain forever in our hearts. Eleanor’s love of life was a lesson to us all. She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, cooking and building things. She loved being outdoors; climbing trees, collecting fossils, rocks and bugs. She attended Buda Elementary School where she was in third grade and enjoyed Art Club and Choir.
Eleanor is survived by her parents, Aaron and Sarah; her brother, Calvin; her paternal grandparents, Bill and Annette Higdon; her maternal grandparents, Gordon and Jean Richmond; her aunt and uncle, Megan and Jeremy Higdon; her cousins, Christopher and Thomas Higdon; her best friend, Cara Morris, and her beloved pets, Conrad, Sid, Phineas, Shadow and Gretta.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at The Wildflower Barn, 1770 N. Elder Hill Road, Driftwood, Texas.
