The following Carpenter Hill 3rd graders were asked to write a letter to Santa to convince him to hire them as a North Pole elf.  Here are their responses.

Dear Santa,  I have always wanted to be an eld, so when I heard you were hiring I thought I would trie to you. The first  reason is I am really good at helping to make presents and toys for little boy and girls. Reason number two is I am good at observing who is naughty and nice. My finall reason is I will help you and the elves decorate the North pole on christmas and I will send the elves on the shelves back to the children. Those are the reasons why I would love to be an elf at your workshop. Love, Hathe

Dear Santa, In my opinion I would be a jolly elf. Here is a list of reasons why I would be a good eld for the job. Even a elf on a shelf is good to I’m not picky. I’m good cook at making sweets everyone likes sweets at the north pole am I right. I am always looking for something to do, I would be a would be a great builder. I can also work in the barn I can scoop up the reindeers poop. Please hire me hope you have a jolly christmas and I would love to spend it with you. Sinserelly Natalia

Dear Santa, I hear you were in need of new elves in your workshop. I am interested in the job and here’s why. I think id be a good toy tester because I have had a bunch of experience with other kid’s toys and I also had broke their toy and some kids made the rule “you break it you fix it”. I also think I’d be  good for the job because I could help load the sleigh and stuff the preasn’tbag because Iv done a lot of choirs and most involve stuffing things and packing things. The final reason I want the job is because elves grow about 4, or 5 feet and I’m already 4 feet so I could be an elf. Thank you for reading my letter about your job opening please write back. Dear Santa, Lets get real here. I’m an elf and I work really hard. Mrs. Claus says that I should be hired I love Christmas. It’s so holly and jolly and I don’t mean to brag but I’m pretty and a hard worker so thats a clue to hire me. I also love snow, it’s so pretty and cold. I can make the best dolls and toys ever!!! Dear Santa, When I heard you were hiring for new elves in your work shop I thougt I may just jump in the air for it I have always wanted to be an elf so here are the reasons why. Usually just be meeting the kid I can figure out what he/she wants. Dear Santa, I heard you are looking for a new elf in your workshop. So I thought I could help you with that. I am great at fixing clothing buy sewing so so if a toy got a hole in it I could fix it. Then it would be as good as new! I super good at making cookies. I can make choclate chip, shugar, otmeal, rason, and all tipes of cookies! I am a fine decorator. Dear Santa, I would be a good elf to hire. I’m a very hard worker and can stay concentrated on work. I’m not easily distracted, so I can stay focused on building the toys. Here are some other reasons I’d be good for your team. I can bring carrots for your reindeer. I’ve memorized all their names but I don’t want to say of should I saw write them right now. My second reason is, I love Christmas music. My favorite song is Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer! My third is I can make you pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving and cookies on Christmas.
