Hays High senior athlete Esmi Fuentes hit the mark this year as she capped off her cross country career in style this November. Fuentes this last season not only clinched a 14-6A district cross country championship, but also reached her third straight UIL state cross country meet in a row. Fuentes finished with a career best 20th overall place at the state meet. Fuentes, who signed on to run cross country at Tarleton State Unveristy in Stephenville, will now look to finish her Rebel career as she completes distance runs in the spring season.
