Leo V. Holden, age 95, of Austin, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
Leo attended St. Elmo Elementary School and graduated from Buda High School in 1938. He was a lifelong member of Manchaca Baptist Church. Leo served in the 8th Air Force and was a gunner on B-17’s in the European Theater in Germany from 1941-1945. After the service, he delivered bread for Buttercrust and was a Personnel Manager for Quickwash. Leo retired to become a rancher.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jo Holden, of 67 years, as well as six sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his brother, Arnold Holden, and wife, Lucille; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family received friends from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Manchaca Baptist Church. A funeral service followed at 10:00 a.m. Interment was in Live Oak Cemetery.
