Buda citizens on Feb. 16 saw Buda Police Chief Bo Kidd present the 2015 racial profiling audit report. The audit, which is required by state law, reflected that arrest rates have decreased since 2014 and stated that most of the people arrested are not residents of Buda. According to the report, the rate of African American men and women involved in police arrests has increased as have the rates for Asian Americans, Middle Eastern Americans, and other non-descript races. Caucasian and Hispanic arrest rates declined. Caucasian males who are non-residents carry out the majority of crime in Buda.
