The City of Kyle is asking residents living on five streets near Wallace Middle School to boil their water after a contractor hit an 8-inch water line Tuesday.
According to the city’s Facebook page, the boil water notice is in effect for residents who live on Falcon, Romero, Castillo, Zapata and Cisneros Streets. Public Works staff has notified affected residents by going door-to-door with boil water notices.
According to the city, repairs to the broken line are expected to be completed at approximately 2 p.m. The boil water notice will remain in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday. City officials will notify residents when the notice is lifted, according to the city’s Facebook page.
The boil water notice does not extend to Wallace Middle School, as the city was able to re-route water to the campus, according to the city’s Facebook page.
