Employees at Night Hawk Frozen Foods, Inc. took a break from their normal routine earlier this month to help build over 3,000 boxes as part of the Hays County Food Bank’s Turkeys Tackling Hunger campaign. The boxes held instant mashed potatoes, canned corn, yams, pumpkin and applesauce, as well as a frozen turkey. Mallory Raschke, HCFP communications coordinator, said the process of partnering with Night Hawk was an “improvement over how we used to do this.” Raschke said a $30 donation sponsored a family to receive a holiday meal box.
