Annual Texas Water Safari makes waves
Hundreds of thrill seekers forged their path on the mighty San Marcos River and beyond last weekend as they took part in the 2017 Texas Water Safari. The safari, which calls itself the “worlds toughest canoe race,” consists of a 260-mile trek that begins at the headwaters of the San Marcos River and ends at the shrimping village of Seadrift along the Texas coastline.
