After finishing first at sectionals and coming up short with a second place finish at regionals, the 8U Manchaca Thunderstix capped off their 2017 season with an undefeated run in Laredo to become the champions of the 2017 PONY South Zone.

The competition began with pool play Wednesday and ended with the Thunderstix blowing away the competition en route to a 3-0 record with only 5 runs allowed and earning the top seed going into bracket play.
