Multiple one-on-one fights involving Lehman High students over a two-day period forced Hays CISD officials to enact a “hold-in-place” order at the campus Wednesday afternoon.

Tim Savoy, Hays CISD public information officer, said district officials called a hold-in-place order at 2 p.m. Wednesday, which lasted for 50 minutes. A hold-in-place order entails the school turning off its bell system and keeping students in their classrooms.
