Man sentenced to 1,000 years in child sex abuse case

A Hays County Jury Monday sentenced a San Marcos man to two life sentences plus 1,000 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing his stepdaughters over a period of time.

Robert Benjamin Franks, 39, of San Marcos, was convicted of continuous sexual abuse, aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child that arose from a pattern of abuse against two children over several years, according to a Hays County press release.
