Stephanie McCrory, age 65, passed away on April 3, 2018. Stephanie was born on May 31, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Jimmy Eugene Burwell and Joan Faye Lockley.
Stephanie is survived by her life partner, Tim Holt; a daughter, Amy Linan (husband, Alex Linan) of Dripping Springs, Texas; and a step-daughter, Samantha Duncan . She is also survived by six grandchildren Eric, Joanna, Mariah, Stephanie, Jeremiah and Brendan; four great-grandchildren Kristian, Allison, Annabelle, Bryant; and two more grandchildren on the way.
Stephanie was a tireless and selfless person who gave all she had to others. She sang in the choir, giving her time and talents because of her deep love for music. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and shopping – especially shoes. Above all, she loved spending time with her loved ones, treasuring her grandchildren and great-children. “Love you better than butter!”
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3–5 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Camino Real (Hwy. 21) in Uhland, Texas. Services will be led by David Goeke. Guests may wish to express their love and sympathies during this time. The second hour will continue the Celebration of Life at the rear of the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
