Buda Fire Department firefighter Johnny Hyde watched helplessly April 11 as fire raged through the roof of a residence in the 9000 block of Camino Real near Uhland. Crews from seven area fire departments, along with the Hays County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), helped to extinguish the blaze which destroyed the home.
