Nancy Nawassa Kershner, of Kyle, TX, passed away on April 14, 2018 at the age of 73 to join her beloved parents in the everlasting light of our Lord.
Nancy was born in Elkton, MD on D-Day June 6, 1944 and graduated Fayetteville High School in West Virginia in 1962 where she was a majorette. Nancy attended Charleston General Hospital School of Laboratory Technique in West Virginia and became a medical laboratory technologist. She eventually became the Lab and Radiology Manager at the former Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Odessa, Texas then moved to Big Spring, Texas and served as both the Lab Manager and Safety Officer. She was loved and regarded highly by her coworkers in the hospital. Nancy also made her home in Colorado throughout her life and loved to spend time in the Rocky Mountains.
Nancy valued family above all else. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and devoted her life to their care. Her presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her son Stephen Dale Taylor of Westminster Colorado; daughter Stephanie Anne Larrison and her husband Ross of Kyle, Texas and two wonderful grandsons, Austin and Zachary; brothers William Kershner and Cameron Douglas Kershner of Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cameron and Amy Kershner.
