Howard Ray Bruner, 54, died surrounded by family and friends on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Dell Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle.
He was born April 8, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Billie Gene and Peggy Ann Flowers Bruner.
He was a 1982 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. He was also a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler.
He was the co-owner of Texas Capital Appraisal Group in Austin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Ann (Flowers) (Bruner) Thompson; father Billie Gene Bruner; sister Debra Jean Bruner; brother Billy Gene Bruner; grandparents George Howard Bruner and Ethel Johnson Bruner and Delbert Ray Flowers and Vida (Cammack) (Flowers) Gibson and nephews Dean Allan Bruner, Jr. and Rodney Wayne Bruner.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan Hawkins Bruner and two sons, Ryan Andrew and Nicholas Austin Bruner, all of Buda; sister Terry Bruner Owen and husband Steve Owen of Canyon Lake; niece Wendy Owen Moore and husband Russell of Canyon Lake; nephew Adam Owen and wife Lindsay of New Braunfels; brother Dean Allen Bruner and wife Donna Sue of Lake Fork; nephew Dalton Bruner of Lake Fork; stepmother Connie Bruner of Arlington; sister-in-law Jan Bruner of Cedar Hill; nieces Nancy Bruner Moreau and husband Emeric of Arlington and Bobbi Voll of The Colony; nephew Paul Bruner of Arlington; sister-in-law Celinda Hawkins and two nieces, Audrey Petty of Austin and Emma Petty of Philadelphia, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Puryear Ranch at 10500 Crumley Ranch Road in Austin.
