Uninsured Texas children falling behind the rest of the United States
Texas children are being left behind without access to healthcare, partly as a result of action taken by former Gov. Rick Perry to cut the expansion of Medicaid through the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.
According to a new study by Wallethub, Texas ranks 49th in the country for children with access to health insurance, an indication that healthcare is on the backburner of state priorities.
