Carol Remey, passed away October 30, 2018 in Austin, Texas after a brave battle with cancer.
Carol was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sep 20, 1935 to Bud and Phyllis Fisher. Carol was proudly associated with the military from the beginning of her life as her father served a career in the U.S. Army Air Corps. As the spouse of an Air Force Fighter Pilot, Carol was an avid supporter and volunteer for the U.S. Military, had traveled around the world and made many friends along the way. Carol had many passions to include reading, traveling, and rescuing greyhounds and giving them a loving home.
Carol is proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Col (Ret) Robert A. Remey, USAF and is survived by her daughters Catherine Farriell, Lt Col Christine Markwardt, USAF, Retired (husband Lt Col Tom Markwardt, USAF, Retired) and son Lt Col Robert A. Remey, Jr., USAF, Retired (wife Lisa Remey); grandchildren Alex and Andy Farriell; Sarah, Stefanie and 2Lt Matthew Markwardt; and Robby and Grace Remey.
Service will be held at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle Texas on 5 November at 1pm. Carol’s final resting place will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas with her husband Col (Ret) Robert A. Remey.
