Billy Thomas Evans was born to Clyde and Elsie Evans on November 27, 1938 in San Marcos, TX and passed away in Kyle, TX surrounded by his family on December 30, 2018.
Billy served in the US Army in Ft. Sill, OK from January 1962 – December 1967. Billy was a “Jack of Many Trades”. He was a licensed Barber, lineman for the LCRA, worked for San Marcos Telephone Company and GTE in Georgetown. From 1975-1980 he was a Deputy for the Hays County Sherriff’s Department. He then became self employed as a general contractor for 10 years. He worked for The University of Texas as a Communication Technician where he retired in 2002. Billy spent his retirement traveling and enjoying his grandchildren and family.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Jane Alston and Dannette Miller, 2 brothers, Jimmy Evans and Mike Evans. Billy is survived by his wife of 53 years, RaiGenne Glosson Evans, daughter; Missy and fiance Kevin, sons; Justin and wife Destini, Tom and wife Joy; grandchildren Matt and wife Karen, Kelsey and husband Rance, Conner, Bo, Ty, Thomas, Cassidy, Sydney, Kristina, and one Great Grandchild Braxton, along with many other beloved family members.
A Memorial Service will be held January 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church 104 S San Marcos St. Buda, TX. 78610 at 11am.
