Longtime Hays CISD band director hired at new Johnson High School
A longtime fixture in Hays CISD’s fine arts department will become the inaugural band director at Johnson High when the campus opens in August 2019.
Joey Lucita, current head band director at Lehman High, was named as the first director to lead Johnson High’s concert and marching bands, according to a Hays CISD press release. Lucita has been a part of Hays CISD’s fine arts department for 25 years.
