Joyce Schwarze Kaminski, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and talented artist, passed away Thursday evening, March 14th, 2019 at Seton Medical Center in Kyle, Texas.
Joyce was born October 28th, 1938 to Fritz and Elsie Scharze in Brenham, Texas. She spent her whole life in Texas. She married Billy Kaminski on August 1, 1959 and together set about raising their family in the Houston area. Joyce retired after 20 years of service with Marek Brothers Systems, retiring as an Executive Secretary. She was an incredible artist, bringing paintings, jewelry and stained-glass pieces to life. When her children attended school, she would volunteer at their school and teach fine art. Many Rockport residents and visitors will remember her art gallery, “The Niche Gallery”. She loved flowers of all kinds and was an incredible cook and baker, specializing in Christmas baking.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy Kaminski, her sons: Craig and his wife Liz, John and his wife Kathy, her grandchildren: Darci, Brianna, Joseph and Jason, step-grandchildren: Holly and Ty Heinsohn and great-step-grandson Wyatt and her sister Jeanette Sonsel.
