Conservation district must protect us all

In 2015, the Texas Legislature gave the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer Conservation District additional territory and responsibility for regulating groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer in a portion of Hays County. It’s important to know the district also protects Barton Springs, which, during drought, is sustained by Trinity Aquifer groundwater.
