The first case of the COVID-19 virus in a Wimberley resident was confirmed on Friday, when the county’ total number of cases rose to 47. Of the two case reported since April was a woman between the ages of 20 and 29; the second was a man aged 40-49.

The county’s emergency web page, haysinformed.com is updated at approximately 4 p.m. weekdays. 

There have as yet been no deaths among county residents infected with the novel coronavirus.
