Alfred Orosco, 71, was called to his eternal resting place on May 16, 2020. He was born on July 21,1948 in Austin, TX and was one of 14 children born to Benita Orosco.
Freddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a wonderful example of a man who valued family from beach trip fishing excursions with his sons; bbq gatherings where he looked forward to all of his kids in attendance and being home after his wife’s return from her many trips to the mall to hear and see all the gifts she purchased for their family members.
He took pleasure in simple things like gardening where a few of his most fruitful projects were peach and orange trees, tomatoes and flowers. He also loved to read books especially his Bible every night. It held a special place in his heart not only for its content but the fact that it was a gift from his brother Ralph.
He was a born and raised Austinite. He loved the original Austin scene stemming from his early years at the Pan AM Rec Center boxing and even into his retirement where he enjoyed the laid back culture of East Austin bar establishments. He is will be forever missed by his beloved wife Janie of 47 years, his children Phillip Orosco, Freddy Orosco Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Michelle Orosco, Judy Erwin and her husband Tim, Nikki Orosco, Felicia Orosco, Daniel Orosco and his wife Laura, and honorary son Eric Gant; grandchildren: Phillip Jr., Ciara, Sara, Selena, Briana, Alfredo III, Joseph, Tracy, David, Nicholas, Tyler, Zachary, Matthew, Cristian, Daniel Jr, Alfredo, Franchesca and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Edward “Lalo”, Richard, and Ralph; sisters Janie, Dolores and Amelia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.
Awaiting his Heavenly arrival were his mother Benita Orosco; brothers Phillip, Johnny and Antonio; sisters Susie, Linda, Patsy, and Lupe.
