Halie Ann Hewitt; an outgoing, generous, loving, daughter, sister, friend and devoted girlfriend passed unexpectedly while out with friends on Friday, June, 5th, 2020 in Austin Texas at the tender age of 24.
Halie was born to Julie Prussman and Stanley Hewitt in Sterling, Colorado on May 17, 1996. She was an only child. At the age of four, she moved to Buda, Texas, where she was raised as a daughter with her cousin Zoe Olvera by her aunt and uncle, Sandi and Del Ballinger. Halie was a sweet girl who cared for everyone. She had a huge, genuine personality which always radiated positive energy on everyone in her presence. Halie loved to be surrounded by her friends. There she felt, warm, safe, and happy. She was beautiful and hardly frowned. She had an engaging grace which drew people to her. She listened intently to everyone and never judged. Forgiveness came natural to her and friendships never ended. Halie never wanted to be alone and being surrounded by her friends and her cats Lionel and Jupiter brought her great joy. She attended school in Buda and graduated from Hays High School, class of 2014.
In addition, Halie’s life was richly blessed by those who loved her, including her Aunt and Uncle; Sandi and Del Ballinger, her cousins Zoe Olvera and Lisa Ballinger, her boyfriend of four years Deaton Gutierrez and her cats Lionel and Jupiter whom she called her children and had an incredibly special connection with… She will also be remembered and missed by her parents Julie Preussman and Stanley Hewitt of Colorado, her grandmother Darlene Hewitt and Norma Ballinger as well as countless dear friends.
