Animal shelter reduces adoption fees through May

By Sahar Chmais

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is getting full; until the end of May, residents looking for a furry companion can adopt pets at a reduced price.

All adoption-ready animals will be $21 until the end of the month. The special includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, medications, a microchip, veterinarian exam and 30 days of free pet health insurance.

Residents are also encouraged to foster these animals if they are unable to adopt.

The shelter is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
