Tigers take Regional title, on to Quarterfinals


Dripping Springs High School baseball team won Area in the UIL 5A baseball playoff game on Thursday, May 13th against Jefferson High School of San Antonio by a score of 5-0. Dripping Springs batters displayed tremendous offense and rocked Jefferson’s pitcher, sr. David Castillo. The Tigers scored one run in the first, three runs in the fifth and one run in the sixth. The Tigers will next play the Quarterfinals on May 22 against Alamo Heights High School from San Antonio. The win over Jefferson gave Tiger head coach Chris Payne his 300th career win. Pictured is sr. Cameron O’Banan. He pitched a shutout game and had nine strikeouts for the win over Jefferson High School.
