Patricia Sanchez, age 51, passed away on May 31, 2021, at her residence in Kyle, Tx. She was born October 8, 1969, in Laredo, Texas to Fidel Sanchez, Sr. and Felicitas Gonzales. She grew up in Laredo and graduated from Nixon High School in 1988.
Pat found a new start in Austin in 2008 with her daughter Leslie and husband Juan Vela. Her family describes her as beautiful, a talented cook, never wanted anyone to go hungry, loved her pets – Chikis, Beanie and Canela. Pat was known for her addictive laugh and loving warm heart. She would always make everyone feel like family.
Among her other loves, were collecting Precious Moments figurines and Hummel figurines. Despite her limitations imposed by health challenges, Pat rose to the occasion for her family, always providing a warm and loving home. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fidel and Felicitas, as well as her brothers Ricardo Sanchez and Henry Sanchez, her sister Elsa Paredes, aunt Irma Gonzalez, and her cousin Jorge “Choche” Cantu.
Left to mourn the loss of this loving woman are her husband Juan Ramon Vela, jr. daughters Leslie Christine Rios & Liliana Vela, son Juan Ramon Vela III, brother Fidel (Alma) Sanchez, Alfonso “Poncho” Sanchez, Alberto (Socorro) Sanchez, all of Laredo, TX, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
