Mildred Jean Wilkins was born on Nov. 08, 1934, to Johnny Wilkins, Sr. and Octavia Lann Wilkins in Austin, Texas. She gained her heavenly wings on Oct. 25, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Pauline Layton, Pete Wilkins and Johnny Wilkins, Jr.
She is survived by four siblings, Julia Wilson, Sam Bauder, Peggy Price and Cliff Bauder, lifetime friend, Ronda Kelter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean lived a life of service as a registered nurse. She also served as a medic in the Army and as a nurse in the Peace Corps. She dedicated over 50 years of her life to helping others be healthy. She loved fast cars, hunting, fishing and all outdoor sports and activities. She will be remembered for her free spirit, love of animals, sense of humor and the kindness she extended to others.
