On January 17, 2022, our Heavenly Father sent His angels to guide Joan to her spiritual and eternal home with her Sweet Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born to Hildegard and Joseph Dingmann on January 1, 1928, the first baby in Omaha NB in 1928. Shortly after, the family moved to Minneapolis MN where Joan grew up and found work at Schweigert Meats as a private secretary. There she met Harry Anderson, Comptroller of the company, whom she married on July 1, 1967. They remained in Minneapolis until they moved to Houston TX in 1972 to escape the cold of the “north country.” They owned and operated gift shops in Houston and retired to Pharr TX and later moved to San Marcos TX.
Joan spoke of looking forward to rejoining those who had predeceased her and she had missed so much…her husband Harry, her parents, her brothers Philip and Jay, sister Mary Tegeder, her sister-in-law Eldora (Anderson) Petersen, and so many other family members and friends. She will be missed by Sisters Ann Horvereid of Sun City AZ and Barbara Lynch of Sun City West AZ; brother Michael and his wife Lucille from Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews; and those who loved her at the LaVista Retirement Facility and St. Anthony Marie de Claret Church in Kyle TX; as well as other organizations in which she took part through the years.
Joan, your dog “Marnie” misses you and we all will miss your sense of humor, sweet notes, and cards. Your friendship was truly our blessing!
All services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at St. Anthony Marie de Claret Church, 801 N. Burleson, Kyle TX. Rosary will start at 9:15 AM and Funeral Mass Is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
