For Kyle author Janine Skines writing her first children’s book was the manifestation of a childhood dream. She began her book, The Magnificent Mask, during the pandemic when her primary work halted. It was an effort to capture what her daughter was experiencing, as well as to encourage all children to get through the things that were going on positively and address some of the issues they were facing.
