Dripping Springs Founders Festival
The 33rd Annual Dripping Springs Founders Day Festival will take place from April 22 through April 24. The three-day celebration will kick off with the Grand Parade on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and include music, entertainment, food, beer, street dances, cook-off competitions, the Mighty Thomas Carnival and over 150 arts and crafts booths and business vendors. Buda Wiener Dog Races

AquaBrew Music Festival
The AquaBrew Music Festival, an event only for ages 21 and older, will be kicking off on Saturday, April 23, at 110 E MLK Dr. in San Marcos, TX. The festival is a one-day event featuring four performances ranging from national to local artists – a feature of AquaBrew’s selection of craft beers and seltzers will also make an appearance. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and live music kicks off at noon. The show runs from 12 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will be ticketed; tickets are free in advance or $10 day of the event. Hays & Caldwell County Heart Walk
The American Heart Association will hold their annual Hays & Caldwell County Heart Walk to help defeat heart disease and stroke on Saturday, April 23 at Texas State University’s Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos. Check-in opens at 9 a.m. and the one-mile walk will begin at 10 a.m. Lawn games, dancing and other heart-healthy activities will be included. Registration is required. Hays County Tire Drive
Hays County is hosting a Tire Drive on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 750 River Road, San Marcos, TX. The drive is free and for Hays County residents only. Only the first 800 tires are being accepted; rims are not being collected. Accepted tires include cars, light trucks, SUVs, 18-wheelers, motorcycles and golf carts. Repurposed tires become new playgrounds, gravel substitutes, garden mulch and wastewater treatment and reduce mosquito populations and viruses, landfill waste and land and water pollution. Operation: Hats Off For Veterans
Kyle VFW Post #12058 is hosting Operation: Hats Off For Veterans to raise proceeds to assist veterans and their families with support services. The event will take place on Sunday, April 24 at Texas Old Town in Kyle. This family-friendly event begins at 2 p.m. and includes a silent and live auction, door prizes, children’s games and live music by Roger Creager at 4 p.m. Black’s BBQ plates are available to purchase. Coolers, chairs, pop-up tents and blankets are permitted; non-service dogs are not allowed. BYOB for 21 and older. Tickets are required and start at $20, or $10 for children. Kyle PD Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Texas Water Utilities, a company that provides water services to many Kyle residents through Monarch Utilities, is partnering with the Kyle Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to provide a medication disposal site on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Participants can safely dispose of controlled and uncontrolled substances, over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, creams, non-aerosol sprays, vials and pet medications. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at 111 N Front St in Kyle, TX.
Wimberley Arts Festival
Wimberley Arts Fest will be held on April 30 and May 1 at Waters Point Resort, 13401 Ranch Road 12 and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The free festival will feature fine art from 100 artists from across the country. Attendees can enjoy the work of painters, potters, photographers, wood workers, jewelers and more. Live music from eight bands will play throughout both days. For car lovers, the Twelve Kings Car Club will be on hand for a classic car show on Saturday.
