Kyle Budget Workshop 

Kyle residents are invited to join the City Council for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget Worksessions, beginning May 12 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. The worksessions will also be live streamed on Kyle 10 and Spectrum 10. Residents that would like to provide public comments during the worksessions can register to speak in-person before the meetings begin. 

Buda Sip N Stroll

Just like in the classic Alice in Wonderland, fall down the rabbit hole to Historic Downtown Buda for a Sip N Stroll on May 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ticket holders will receive a commemorative glass, tote for your purchases, entertainment and more as you stroll through the downtown shops, tasting a variety of spirits as well as a sampling of some featured menu items.

Music on the Square 

A free, family-friendly concert series will be held every Friday in May on the lawn of the Hays County Historic Courthouse in downtown San Marcos. Guests are encouraged to support local businesses by ordering takeout, while also bringing chairs, blankets and beverages in glass-free containers.

Lawn games and shopping from local vendors start at 5:30 p.m. The opening set will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the headliner will follow at 7:30 p.m. Sets will feature musicians who started their careers in San Marcos.

Zoi Market celebrates one year anniversary

Zoi Market will hold their one-year anniversary party on Saturday, May 14 from noon to 8 p.m. at 200 N Main St. in Buda. The celebration is a reintroduction to all the market offers, with a panel on the pharmacy, samples from Zoi’s local vendors, live music, and more. 

Hays Bands Spring Fling Concert

The annual Hays Bands Spring Fling Concert will be held on Sunday, May 15 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. The Spring Fling concert series features all the ensembles from Hays High School as well as the bands from Barton and Wallace middle schools.

  • 1:30-3:00pm – Wallace Middle School Bands
  • 3:30-5:30pm – Barton Middle School Bands
  • 6:00-8:30pm – Hays High School Bands

Subaru Groundbreaking in Buda

There will be a groundbreaking celebration for the City Limits Subaru, the soon-to-be one of North America’s largest Subaru dealerships, located in Buda. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at 14457 I-35 South, just south of the 45 Tollway. 

City officials, local businesses and high school students in the automotive technician program will be featured. A catered Southside BBQ lunch, live music and a pet adoption site will be included. Interested attendees should RSVP by Monday, May 16 at
