Janet Lillian Huse
Janet Lillian Huse, age 81, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Buda, Texas. Family was by her side through her short illness.
Janet was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 5, 1941. She relocated to Buena Park, California in 1983 and resided there for 39 years, before finally moving to Buda, Texas in April of this year. Her final months were spent cherishing time with her son Jonathan, his wife Shayna, and her grandson Hudson.
After marrying her husband Gordon in 1958, Janet spent the next six and a half decades caring for her family, often putting their needs far above her own. She lovingly raised six children, adored her grandchildren, and embraced her role as the emotional and spiritual rock for the family. Rarely does someone so humble leave such an indelible mark on so many lives.
Her faith in Christ was the only thing stronger than her motherly love. Even in the wake of great loss during her later years, she would speak of how good the Lord had been to her.
Survived by children: Cathy Huse, William D. Huse (Lola), Daniel Huse (Mary), and Jonathan Huse (Shayna), grandchildren: Katie Meline, William G. Huse, Calvin Huse, Hana Huse, Lexi Huse, Hudson Huse, siblings: Ardyce DuRand (John), Larry (Elly) and Darwin (Jo Ann) Dahler. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Audrey Dahler, brothers Jack and Roger Dahler, husband Gordon W. Huse, son Gordon S. Huse, and daughter Kim Meline (Joel).
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday. Sept. 19 at Faith Assembly of God in Buda, Texas followed by burial at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park in Austin, Texas.
