KYLE — Hays CISD hosted Hays History Day at Johnson High School in an effort to showcase the numerous projects completed by students throughout the district on Jan. 20.
Social Studies Coordinator Kimberley Pena noted that there were 180 entries at this event, compared to the 30 the previous year. Pena also received a $2,000 check on behalf of the Hays Education Foundation to support the program.
Nearly every school in the district was represented through projects, which were reviewed by a panel of judges. The following students earned placement and awards.
