BUDA — Buda Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care hosted a fun-filled “Spoil Your Pet Day” event to celebrate the special bond between people and their furry companions.
The day started with a visit from Fig, a certified therapy dog from Divine Canines, who brought smiles and tail wags to the residents. Fig’s playful demeanor and gentle nature provided much-needed cuddles and companionship for the residents, creating a heartwarming atmosphere, according to a press release.
The festivities continued with a Drive-Thru Pup Cup Event, which was noted to be “a howling success.” Community members were invited to stop by and receive a complimentary pup cup for their beloved pets; the event fostered a connection between the residents and the local community, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
“We were excited to see the joy on our residents’ faces as they interacted with Fig and received treats for their furry friends during the Drive-Thru Pup Cup Event,” said Susan LaBree, executive director at Buda Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care. “Events like these are essential for promoting resident well-being. We’re grateful for the support of our amazing neighbors and furry friends who helped make this day a success.”
