Sally McWithey passed away November 27, 2023 at her home in Buda, TX. She was 68 years old. Sally was born in 1955 in Clarksdale, MS, graduated Appalachian St University.
Sally had a passion for teaching, working with children and giving back to the community. Over the years living in Buda Sally served on the Hays HS Band Boosters, and founded the Buda Children’s Theatre company. She became a certified CASA volunteer in Hays County in 2007 and served many children and families in the community. She also enjoyed her role as Aunt Sally and hosted many nieces and nephews at home in Buda for summer getaways.
Survived by sister, Victoria Land; niece, Kathryn Land; husband, Richard; son, Preston and daughter, Elizabeth. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren: James, Judson, Henry, and Marshall.
Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 3701 W Slaughter Ln, Austin, TX 78749 on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00AM. Please consider donations in Sally’s memory to CASA of Central Texas.
