Tiger pitcher Jaxon Conover (No. 6) pitched a complete game against the Round Rock Cedar Ridge High School Raiders on May 4 with no errors, no walks and four strikeouts. In a post-game interview, Tiger head baseball coach Chris Payne expressed excitement for his players and seniors. He said that game three is always a nail biter and his players showed a ton of grit with their performance. Coach Payne also acknowledged the support from the fans and thanked them for showing up. He went on the say, on the bus ride home on Saturday, they discussed the pitcher for the third game and he immediately stated, Conover would be their starter: "What a performance by Jaxon and carried the team on his back, pitching a complete game for the win.”
