The Dripping Springs Tigers football team ran off the clock after making a first down with under a minute in the fourth quarter for a 41-38 win in a non-district game over the Harker Heights High School Knights on Friday, Sept. 13, at Leo Buckley Stadium in Killeen.
Dripping Springs quarterback Maddox Maher passed for 303 yards and four touchdowns including an 80-yard touchdown pass to Nick Tyndall. Cooper Reid had 11 receptions for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jack Tyndall had 23 carries for 138 yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers had 556 total yards and 223 yards rushing.
The Tigers (2-1) host Buda’s Johnson High School (3-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.
