Hays City Donuts has provided donuts to the Kyle community for more than 20 years. On Sunday, Oct. 20, the owner, San Long, decided to give back to the community one more time by providing free donuts on his final day in business, following the purchase of the property by the city of Kyle. According to his son, Vandee Long, San is looking forward to retirement. The Hays City Donuts property pictured below, located at 106 N. Burleson St. in Kyle, was purchased by the city of Kyle in a recent deal. The business’s famous croissant sandwiches will still be sold at The Main Squeeze’s new location at 108 S. Front St. in Kyle.
