The Hays High School Band played it’s final note on Nov. 4 at the 2024 UIL 5A State Marching contest at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Led by directors John Rauschuber, Aaron Collins, Aaron Venegas, Ali Martinez and Tim Briones, the group was greeted by a cascade of cheers from a full crowd. Ultimately, the band finished in 18th place out of 38 bands at State.
