KYLE — Mike Trimble has joined the city of Kyle as the director of transportation and public works. In this new role, Trimble will be responsible for city transportation services, including the planning, development and implementation of all related policies and programs, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Trimble has 20 years of experience in local government. Before joining the city of Kyle, Trimble worked as a project director for HNTB, where he provided leadership for transportation agency organization improvement, facilities planning, bond program development and project delivery and interagency coordination initiatives for Hays County, Williamson County and TxDOT Capital Express Central Programs.
Prior to joining HNTB, Trimble served more than 16 years as an executive with the city of Austin where he brought transportation, facilities and infrastructure programs to the community through various leadership roles. He has experience in multimodal transportation programs, capital improvement and long-range planning, local and regional transportation agency coordination and federal funding strategy development.
Trimble’s official start date with the city of Kyle is Jan. 13.
