Volunteers needed for Senior Showcase
Every year, DSHS seniors are given the opportunity to participate in the DSHS Senior Showcase program, which is where seniors are asked to present their high school journey, future career path or passion project to a panel of district staff, community members and parents or engage in an interview from the panel about their time and experiences in high school.
The goal is for the students to set aside time for purposeful reflection on their experiences at DSHS and for them to connect those experiences with their future goals, said Senior Showcase Coordinator Megan Batson. The ability for these seniors to present or interview in front of a panel of community members is both beneficial and impactful for everyone who chooses to be involved. This program has been a long-standing tradition at DSHS and one the campus is proud to hold on to.
This year, the Senior Showcase presentations/interviews will take place throughout the month of February 2025 and DSHS is now seeking individuals to help in this process by serving on the panels. Panel members will participate in person at DSHS on their selected dates and times.
The 2025 DSHS Senior Class has more than 500 students who have opted to participate in the Senior Showcase program. The dates for the upcoming DSHS 2025 Senior Showcase are listed below:
• Feb. 3-7
• Feb. 10-14
• Feb. 18-21
• Feb. 24-28
Volunteers will be asked to select a morning and/or afternoon time slot. Morning sessions are 8:30 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions are 12:30–4:00 p.m.
Those who are interested in volunteering can visit bit.ly/3QgOwrH to sign-up.
