In loving memory of Jean Elizabeth Treece,
On a summer’s day, when the world was brimming with war,
Born a spirit so gentle, with kindness bestowed,
Her journey on Earth, a beautiful road.
Sister to Rosemary, Gerald, and dear Brian,
Through joys and through sorrows, together they stood,
In the garden of life, they nurtured the good.
Over time with husband Jack along,
In laughter and trials, they both grew strong.
A mother to David, Donna and Deborah fair,
With Bryan beside them, their lives filled the air.
Grandchildren cherished, Jaque, Ryan, and Derek,
Chris, Eliza, Benjamin, John, and Colton, each angelic.
Her heart was a haven for creatures in need,
Especially for Oliver, her beloved pup indeed.
In her garden of ease, she planted with care,
Each bloom was a whisper of love in the air.
A reader of stories, a seeker of truth,
In the twilight of life, she embraced her own youth.
With courage and grace, she stepped into the fray,
Her voice for America, she’d never dismay.
“You catch more bees with honey,” she often would say,
A mantra of kindness that guided her way.
In life’s grand symphony, she played her sweet part,
A melody woven with a compassionate heart.
So now, as we gather, in sorrow and light,
We celebrate Jean, her spirit takes flight.
With Jack by her side and angels anew,
In the gardens of heaven, she’s flourishing too.
Though time may have claimed her, her legacy stays,
In the hearts of her family, through all of our days.
With gratitude, we honor the love that won’t cease,
In memory of Jean, may her soul find peace.
Jean passed away January 12, 2025, following a stroke. She is survived by her sister, brother, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
