DRIPPING SPRINGS — Sparrow Pediatrics Group is a new direct primary care practice dedicated to providing personalized pediatric care in the Dripping Springs community.
Owned and operated by Dr. Christy Jensen, the clinic aims to offer an integrative, patient-centered approach, ensuring that children receive high-quality, compassionate and individualized healthcare. Dr. Jensen attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, and completed her residency training at Rush University Medical Center. She spent many years practicing in the hospital and urgent care setting, but her passion is building relationships with families, which she believes leads to healthier children.
Over the past few years, her approach to medicine has become more integrative and holistic. She moved to Driftwood in 2021 with her husband and three children and they have been overwhelmed by the welcoming spirit of the people of Dripping Springs. They stay busy with their involvement in DSISD schools, church ministries and sports.
Sparrow Pediatrics Group operates on a membership-based model, eliminating insurance barriers and allowing families to have unlimited access to their child’s physician through same-day visits, extended appointment times and direct communication. Dr. Jensen believes this model fosters a more personalized and stress-free healthcare experience.
“I am overwhelmed by the support and excitement of this community. It is a blessing and an honor to be able to care for the children of such amazing families,” she said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on Jan. 30, took place outside the office at FUSE workspace, where Dr. Jensen, alongside community members and family, officially marked the beginning of this innovative healthcare service. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and toured the facility.
Sparrow Pediatrics Group is located in FUSE workspace at 13341 West US 290 and is now accepting new patients. For more information, visit www.sparrowpediatricsgroup.com or call (737) 210-1422.
