The News-Dispatch presented an award to Dripping Springs High School volleyball player Callie Krueger, who was named the 2024 Player of the Year. Krueger, center, is joined by, from left, sports photojournalist Wayland Clark, head volleyball coach Michael Kane, Dripping Springs Athletic Director Galen Zimmerman and sports photojournalist Albert Sanchez. Krueger, who has signed to play at The University of Texas, was named the All-District Defensive Player of the Year in Class 6A Region IV District 26.
The News-Dispatch presented an award to Wimberley High School volleyball player Laney Hennessee who was named the 2024 Player of the Year. Hennessee is joined by sports photojournalist Wayland Clark, head volleyball coach Misty Fletcher-Remmers and girls athletic coordinator Lacey Lambert. Hennessee, who has signed to play at the University of Alabama, was named the Class 4A Region IV District 26 Most Valuable Player and was the MVP when Wimberley defeated Canyon Randall in the Class 4A UIL State Championship game.
