Dripping Springs Tigers get another shutout, remain undefeated
After a great opening drive by the Akins Eagles, they were unable to score and on fourth down they attempted a field goal. However, Tiger Colten Tripp (No. 9) and Malachi Igharo (No. 0) were able to rush the Eagles’ kicker and block the attempted field goal. Tripp recovered the football and returned it for the Tigers' first touchdown of the game.

DRIPPING SPRINGS   — On Friday Sept. 26, Dripping Springs High School celebrated its homecoming with a shutout over the previously undefeated Akins High School Eagles, with a final score of 63-0. The Tigers are currently 5-0 and this was the team’s second shutout in a row.

During the half-time festivities, the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen were announced. The student body voted for Stella Rios as its Queen and Gage De Los Santos as its King.

The homecoming court consisted of: Junior Duke and Duchess Creed Heaston and Isla Conreaux; Sophomore Duke and Duchess Bradyn Smith and Sienna Mattioda; and Freshman Duke and Duchess Samual Davis and Molly Sullivan.

The Tigers will play the Austin High School Maroons at the House Field at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
